What’s included in this service?
Maxi skips are usually only used for commercial projects, but they can also be used for a large domestic renovation job. Shop fitters find this size useful as they can hold a large volume of rubbish such as metal, wood, plastics and packaging waste. Maxi skip hire is not suitable for heavy loads such as soil, rubble or concrete as it would be too heavy for the skip lorry to lift
Many councils will not allow a 12 yard skip to be placed on the public highway, so you can normally only use one if you have enough private land. A 12 yard skip holds approximately 100-120 bin bags
What’s NOT included?
Waste cannot be a hazardous or environmentally unfriendly material. (TVs/monitors, plasterboard, asbestos, batteries, tyres, medical waste, fluorescent tubes, gas cylinders, electricals, solvents, paint tins, fuels)
Before putting a skip on any public highway (which includes roads and pavements), you will need to have a skip hire permit, sometimes referred to as a 'skip license'. If you do not have a skip permit, your skip can be removed without notice and you may also be fined. Note that if you have space to put your skip on private property (for example in a driveway or yard), no permit is necessary
No labour included
Any congestion zone and parking fees
