How to Find a cad home / building design service professional

Hiring a tradesmen for CAD home or building design services

CAD home or building design services are a great way to examine and compare concepts for your next project. Such services are now widely available, but that doesn’t mean you can find the right specialist without some hassle. Plentific offers a quick service that generates a list of the best tradesmen in your local area offering CAD expertise, including access to customer reviews and ratings to help you compare your choices.

What do you need to know about CAD home or building design services?

CAD is a broad term meaning Computer-Aided-Design, and refers to any designs or plans made using software rather than traditional means. Most architects and building designers will use CAD software, as it is much easier to look over and alter plans as necessary than with older planning methods.

The cost of CAD services will depend on the size and scope of your project; plans for larger properties will take the professional longer, and so on. You may be charged more if you hire an architect as opposed to a building designer, or if your project requires unique specifications.

Be sure to look over the qualifications and experience of each of your choices. They may have completed short courses for certain software, and will more than likely have plans from previous projects they can show you to give you an idea of the quality of their services. Based on your property specifications you will more than likely be able to get a free quote for these services, so be sure to collect several quotes to compare. Before making a final decision, be sure to ask about hidden costs, such as charges for design changes. A qualified expert should also have professional liability or indemnity insurance in the event that their plans lead to structural complications down the line.

Right from the first day, Amatrix have been very good at keeping in contact and getting my job done quickly. Admittedly the cost was higher then I was hoping, but for the service I got I can't complain.

Paul is very pleasant Chartered Surveyor and I would strongly recommend to other people who want to do building work. He did the drawings and submitted 3D plan to the Sheffield City council for the 2 story extension. He made several visits to the site before submitting drawing to make sure that everything was correct. He is cheap compared to many others. He constantly advised me about the rules and regulation of the building work. He did not hesitate to give me the contact details of other professional like structural engineer, building inspectors. He is very punctual and made several visits to the site while the building work was going on without any further costs. I have no doubts that he looks after his clients and he is conscience of health and safety aspects on the building site. I am very happy that I used him for my planning application. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information about his work.

David Fletcher is exceptionally professional and thorough. Throughout our project of a large extension David ensured the progress from design stage through to planning permission was smooth, swift and precise. His finished product was excellent and the advice and direction he was able to give throughout the process was exemplary. Needless to say I would thoroughly recommend DFPM without hesitation.
